If you are browsing in Chrome and you hit an email link, and Microsoft Outlook opens instead of Gmail, what should you do?

You can easily set up Gmail to be the default app for email links on the web using the steps below.

Browse to the url chrome://settings/handlers

In the Protocol Handlers window, drop down the mailto option and select Gmail.

Select Gmail as the default app to open email links

Now, try to click on an email link and you should see it in the Gmail application.
