You are in a meeting and your iPhone rings. You cant pick up the call right now but you know you just need another 30 seconds to walk out to take the call. You can let the phone continue ringing but that would be annoying for the other people in the meeting.

The quick fix is to press the sleep/wake button located on the top right of your phone or either of the volume controls (+ or -) on the left of your iPhone. Your iPhone will stop ringing or vibrating. However, the caller will still hear the ringing you take the call.
